Yorkshire Day Rotherham

To celebrate Yorkshire Day on the 1st of August, Rotherham held a celebration that displayed performances from local artists. Rationale Arts was invited to performed a piece that was recently developed during their work with Dalton Youth Centre. The piece was choreographed by the young people at the centre using the topic of identity at the stimulus. They created movement for the piece based around their own styles of movement along with that of the professionals at Rationale Arts, which resulted in a exciting mixture of styles and personality. The piece performed by the young choreographers and the professionals twice during the day, once in Rotherham Town Centre and once in Wentworth Woodhouse for the mayors of Yorkshire.
